Afrika Korps
One of the most famous fighting unit of World War Two, the German Afrika Korps commanded by Marshal
Erwin Rommel fought against the British in Libya and Egypt, and later against the Americans in Tunisia. The soldiers
were armed with MP-40 submachine guns and stick hand grenades. Equipment included gas masks inside a metal drum and
goggles for sand storms.
German Paratroops
During the battle of Monte Cassino, these units were called 'Green Devils' by the British. The very respected German
paratroopers were armed with MP-40 submachine guns, FG-42 semiautomatic rifles and MG-42 machine guns.
PanzerArtillerieRegiment GrossDeutschland
The Infantry Regiment GrossDeutschland was an elite combat unit of the German Army. The regiment served
in the campaigns in France and the Netherlands in 1940 and later it served exclusively on the Eastern
Front until the end of the war, when it was annihilated near Pillau in May 1945. One of the soldiers is using a rangefinder
to calculate distance to the target.
PanzerGrenadiere
The PanzerGrenadiere served with legendary effectiveness in the German tank forces in every theater of the Second World War.
They were easily recognizable by their black uniforms.
Axis Attack Forces
Side by side with the German forces, the Italian fought the British in Africa and the Mediterranean.
Axis Paratroops
Under Rommel's command, Germany's allies fought bravely against the British and would become notorious
during the ill-fated combats at El Alamein. The soldiers were armed with the submachine gun Beretta 38. Note the circular
antenna of the backpack radio.
Commonwealth Tank Troops
Soldiers and officers of the British, Australian and New Zealand tank forces that operated in Africa,
with a captured MG-42 machine gun.
US Marines
United States' troubleshooting elite forces, the 'Leathernecks' got their fame during the battles in the Pacific. These
soldiers were armed with semiautomatic rifles M1 Garand and submachine guns Thompson.
US Paratroops
Six paratroopers of the famous crack units, highly detailed down to 'irokese' hair cut look and armed with the Thompson M1
submachine gun.
Soviet Artillery
Eight representatives of the massive Soviet Army that slowly would swept away the German Army from the eastern steppes.
In the Soviet Army the women often served as communication personnel.
